The Update on Life

So I did get my new car last Monday, after some hellish troubles...

I go downtown to pick up my vehicle and the repair place is closed, they leave me the keys, but didn't remember to also put a little gas into the car for me. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but since the thieves drove it till it was out of gas, this minor detail was a BIG deal...

I don't make it even a friggin block before the poor Intrepid shudders and konks out in the middle of the road. Luckily I was like three blocks from the gas station and Tom was with me, so while he went to get me a little gas I fended off the crazies who stopped to see what was going on. The offer for help is nice, but some of them were a little odd and scary... but anyhoo, I get gas in the car and drive it to the Dodge dealer and find out they're giving me $500 for it, lol. So I guess I made about $40 off the thing, but I'm still waiting on the refund check from the dealership for the car, since my credit union check was made out before I had a trade in.

I've got contacts again!! Sadly they gave me my old perscription, but I was so happy to have contacts I didn't say anything. I figure .25 isn't that big of a change and since I've manage for more than two years at my whopping -6.75 in each eye, another year won't kill me!

Other than that things at work were hectic early week and have petered out to boredom today... there's only three of my team members here today out of 10, so yeah, not a lot going on. I'm in my own little cubicle section all by myself......

No known weekend plans, but I'm glad it's here!! If something fun happens I'll try to remember to write it all down, lol.
